Karafuu means cloves in the Swahili.Located on the unspoilt Eastern Coast of Zanzibar, Karafuu Hotel is approximately 65 km from Zanzibar town and the airport. The hotel is built on seven hectares of pleasant tropical garden with extensive beach front. The hotel has 61 cottages and 31 standard air conditioned rooms, all built with local materials according to ancient Zanzibar traditions: roofs made of Makuti and walls of coral.
